College day was celebrated atKVG Ayurveda Medical college and hospital, Sullia, on 22.12.2023, the event was presided by Dr. K.V. Chidananda, President, AOLE(R.), Sullia. The program was inaugurated by Shri.N Shashikumar, IPS, Commissioner, Youth empowerment and sports, Govt. of Karnataka and then he addressed the gathering.
In the program Dr. Prashanth. A.S, Dean, faculty of Indian system of medicine, Rajiv Gandhi University of health Sciences, Bengaluru was the guest of honour. After felicitating the retired staff of KVG Ayurveda Medical college and the staff who rendered the service in the institution for more than 25 years, Dr. Prashant addressed the gathering. After his speech Dr. K V Chidanada, President of the function felicitated him.
Dr. Leeladhar D V, Principal, KVG Ayurveda Medical college, presented the annual report of the institution and 25 years report. The college souvenir “Prajna” was released during the occasion and Dr. Harshavardhan, Professor & HOD dept. of Shalya Tantra & Chief Editor of Prajna spoke about the book.
The gold medals were given to the students of the institution who secured the highest marks in the class in previous RGUHS examinations. The students who had done research works under different organizations where felicitated and also the students who secured highest marks in their in RGUHS final year examinations were felicitated.
In the annual day program different products of KVG Ayurveda pharma were released. The prizes were distributed to the champions in competitions of literary, sports and cultural.
Dr.Harshitha. M, Student welfare officer, Dr.Jagadish A S, Member AOLE, Dr. Om Yaligar, P G representative of student council, Mr. Arthik K.S. President of student council, Ms. Shreeja Rai, General secretary of student council and Ms.Sneha K, Lady representative of student council were present on the stage during the event.
Dr. Om Yaligar welcomed the gathering and Mr. Arthik.K.S delivered vote of thanks. Ms. Suryapriyaans Ms. Gowri Parvathy prayed the almighty. Ms. Deeksha and Ms. Krithika mastered the program.
The formal function was followed by cultural program given by staff and students of the institution.
