As part of the 10th Ayurveda Day celebrations, K.V.G. Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital, Sullia, D.K organized a Medical and Wellness Camp on 13th September 2025 at Thayannur, Kasargod, Kerala for the tribal community. The camp was held in association with center for research development and NABARD tribal development, under the theme Ayurveda for people and the planet.
The camp offered multiple health care services to the local community. Ayurveda consultation, free medical check-ups, and distribution of medicines were carried out by the medical team. In addition, diet and lifestyle advice was given to patients to encourage healthy living practices. A yoga demonstration and awareness session was also conducted to highlight the importance of yoga in maintaining physical and mental well-being.
A total of 159 patients from the nearby tribal areas attended the camp and benefitted from the services. The medical team included four specialised doctors, supported by internees, postgraduate students, and dedicated staff from the nursing and pharmacy departments.
The camp received positive feedback from the community, as it provided holistic healthcare and created awareness about Ayurveda and wellness. The program successfully combined traditional knowledge with community service and reflected the true spirit of Ayurveda Day celebrations.

The Medical and Wellness Camp was a meaningful step towards creating health awareness and promoting Ayurveda as a way of life. The active participation of doctors, students, and staff ensured the success of the program, making it a valuable contribution to community health.
