As part of the 10th Ayurveda Day celebrations, KVG Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Sullia, D.K., in association with the Department of Women and Child Development and the Child Development Scheme, Aranthode organized a public awareness talk on 15th September 2025 at the Grama Panchayath Sabha Bhavan, Aranthode,
The celebration was conducted under the national theme “Ayurveda for People and the Planet”, emphasizing the role of Ayurveda in promoting health and sustainability. A public awareness talk was delivered by Dr. Smitha Thampan, Associate Professor, Department of Panchakarma highlighting the importance of Ayurveda in women’s health, child growth, and family well-being. Postgraduate students and internees actively participated in the event.
As part of the program, a display of healthy food and Ayurvedic herbs was arranged to create awareness about the importance of diet and traditional medicines in maintaining health. The exhibits received great appreciation from the participants. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from women, children, health workers, and local community members. A total of 100 beneficiaries attended. The program also aligned with Nutrition Week 2025, adding greater relevance to the discussions and exhibits.
Conclusion:
The 10th Ayurveda Day celebration by KVG Ayurveda Medical College, Sullia, D.K., successfully spread the theme “Ayurveda for People and Planet.” Through awareness talks, displays, and community participation, the program inspired people to embrace Ayurveda for a healthier and sustainable lifestyle.
