KVG AYURVEDA MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL, SULLIA D.K. conducted the International Day of Yoga with Grandeur and Valour. The college was selected for the program by District AYUSH for the program on 21.06.2022.

KVG AYURVEDA MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL, SULLIA D.K. conducted International Day of Yoga with Grandeur and Valour. The college was selected for the program by District AYUSH for the program on 21.06.2022. 

Mr.Angara S. Minister of Fisheries and inland water development participated in the program. He inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp and addressed the gathering. He stressed on the importance of Yoga in day to day life. He emphasised that our Hounorable Prime Ministers visionary and leadership in promoting Yoga to the whole world. Mr.Angara S participated in the Yoga session and performed Yoga organized in the K.V.G.Ayurveda Medical College premises.
Brochure regarding the International Day of Yoga and protocol was released in this occasion.
 
Dr.K.V.Chidananda, President AOLE (R) Sullia, in his presidential remarks mentioned that Yoga is prevalent in our country since ages. He mentioned Patanjali Maharishi’s yoga shastra, of ancient traditional Yoga. He also mentioned that the newer teachers who have greatly contributed to Yoga. 
 
Mr.Jagadeesh Adthale Administrator KVG MEDICAL COLLEGE, Sullia was present in the occasion and actively participated in Yoga session.
 
Principal Prof.Dr.Leeladhar D.V. participated actively and did the Yoga asanas in forefront and inspired the students as a role model.
 
Nagarapanchayath President Mr.Vinay Kandadka had participated in the Yoga session and in person took keen interest in the session along with dignitaries.
 
Dr.Ajithnath observer and coordinator from Department of AYUSH D.K had been deputed at K.V.G.Ayurveda Medical College, Sullia participated in the program and performed Asanas.
 
The Teaching Faculty, Non teaching Staff, Hospital Staff, PG Students, Jr.Doctors, Students participated in the Yoga Session of the international Day of Yoga 2022 with a Theme Yoga for Humanity. 
 
About 550 students and faculty actively performed Yoga Asanas, in open ground, at K.V.G.Ayurveda Medical College, Campus Sullia D.K.
Our 80 Students had performed Yoga in Shri Chennakeshava Temple, in Heritage site noted by AYUSH and Government of Karnataka.
 
Our Coordinators for the International Day of Yoga 2022, Dr.Venu N., Dr.Sanath Kumar D.G., Dr.Harshavardhan K., Dr.Kavitha B.M., Dr.Avinash K.V. and  Dr.Pramoda P. A., NSS Officer helped in conducting the program with zeal.
 
Dr.Harshavardhan K. lead the team and guided the aspiring young Medical students participated in K.V.G MEDICAL COLLEGE,Sullia. Dr Neelambikai Natarajan Dean Medical College, inaugurated the session. About 195 People actively participated in the program.
 
Dr.Pramoda P.A. lead a team of students to Nehru Memorial College, Sullia and gave a guest talk on importance of Yoga in day to day life. Mrs.Mamatha K welcomed the gathering. Principal Mr.Rudresh Kumar presided over the program. Mrs Madhura delivered the vote of thanks. About 350 students performed Yoga in the college quadrangle.
 
Dr.Avinash K.V. lead a team to K.V.G. Dental College and gave a talk to the Faculty and Students.  About 200  students and faculty participated in the International Day of Yoga 2022.
