Charaka Jayanthi is celebrated on the 5th day of Shukla Paksha of Shraavana maasa, which is the birth anniversary of Acharya Charaka of Ayurveda. Samskruta saptaha is celebrated to spread the greatness of Samskruta throughout the world. On these occasions of Charaka Jayanti and Samskruta Saptaha, the department of Ayurveda Samhita Siddhanta and Samskruta of KVG Ayurveda Medical College Sullia, conducted the Shloka recitation competition and Quiz competition from Aug 10th to Aug 13 -2022.
The competitions were hosted by the department and entries were done through Google form on or before July 26th, 2022.
Total there were 127 participants, out of which 95 students had taken participation in the shloka recitation competition and 32 students had taken participation in the quiz competition.
120 students were of the opinion of conducting such competitions every year and the rest were suggesting such competitions once in two years.
Shloka competition was conducted within a class of 1st BAMS, 2nd BAMS, 3rd BAMS and 4th BAMS. Quiz teams were made such that each team consisted of one student from each class and one group consisting of 4 people were made. Separate prizes were given to both shloka Recitation and quiz competitions.
All students have taken participation actively.
