KVG Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital, Sullia, Dept. of Swastavritha & Yoga, NSS Unit of KVG Ayurveda Medical College in association with Dakshina Kannada District AYUSH Dept., Mangalore organized “10th International Day of Yoga – 2024 is Yoga for Self & Society / Yoga for Women Empowerment” at 7.00AM as directed by the Central Ministry of AYUSH and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, Bangalore.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. K. V. Chidananda President, A.O.L.E (R.), and he highlighted importance of yoga and its practice in day-to-day life. Shri. Jagadish Adthale, Council Member, A.O.L.E (R.), Dr. Leeladhar D.V., Principal, K.V.G. Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital, Sullia, were present in the event.
After the inauguration, as per the common Yoga protocol, different Asanas were practiced at College premises at 07.00AM. Dr. Jayavani M. G., Dr. Shabina T. T. and Dr. Aiswarya Balagopal were the Yoga Instructors for the event. Prizes were distributed by Dr. K. V Chidananda President AOLE(R), Sullia, for the winners of various competitions held in relation to International Day of Yoga 2024. Staff and Students took Yoga Pledge during the occasion.
Dr. Shabina T T., Associate Prof., dept of Swasthavritta was demonstrated yoga in KVG Medical College & Hospital Sullia and Nehru Memorial Pre-University College Sullia on 21.06.2024.
Students of KVG Ayurveda Medical College, Dr. Mahanthraj, Dr. Ranganath, Ms. Swathi and Mr. Sampath Hiremath were the resource persons of yoga training in Jyothi High School, Peraje, and Dr. Anusha M., Ms. Sneha, Mr. Vaishak were the resource persons at Mahathma Gandhi Malnadu High School, Kodiyalbail, Sullia.
At 12.00pm Demonstration program of Yoga by ISHA Foundation was organised in the Dhanvanthari hall of our institution on 21.06.2024. Kumari. Shrusti S. Shetty was the Resource Person for this program. Teaching, Non-Teaching Faculty, Hospital Staff, Post Graduate Students, Interns and Under Graduate Students have actively participated in these event.
